BIOGRAPHY
Jack Saltman is currently the President of Compass Investment Properties, a commercial real estate firm located in Orlando, Florida. Jack is also the founder and principal of the Commercial Leasing Institute. He has been a “commercial leasing specialist” and a licensed Florida Commercial Real Estate broker since 1977.
In his twenty five years of commercial real estate experience, Jack Saltman has represented both tenants and building owners and has worked for such firms as Cushman & Wakefield, L.J., Hooker, International, Jim Wilson & Associates, Saltman & Associates, Olympia & York and The Galbreath Company. He has leased over five million square feet of office space while representing such firms as Walt Disney Company, IBM, Harris Corporation, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Siemens/Stromberg Carlson, Baxter Travenol Labratories, AISG and many more.
From 1983 to 1987 Jack Saltman acted as Chairman of the BOMA International Market Conditions Committee and BOMA’s Congressional Network. He is a past president of BOMA, Brevard and past president of The Casselberry Little League.
Jack is currently a member of The Central Florida Speakers Association, the National Speakers Association, Toastmasters International, The Greater Orlando Economic Development Commission and the Orlando Chamber of Commerce
While chairman of BOMA’s Congressional Network, Jack actively helped lobby Congress and the EPA on behalf of The Building Owners and Managers Association and Tenants to create consistent legislation for the removal of Asbestos in office buildings nationwide. He addresses and works with local civic groups and national associations on numerous subjects relating to the Commercial Real Estate Industry and market conditions
 Long considered an expert on Orlando and other Florida markets, Jack has been quoted or featured in over 100 national and local news publications and has written and had columns syndicated in over 50 newspapers, business journals and magazines. He is the author of a book entitled “Office Space, A Tenant’s Guide to Profitable Leasing,” and co-authored “Commercial Relocation.”
Jack Saltman’s mission is to work with tenants, owners and brokers who want to negotiate better leases so that they can keep more of their own money.
